Hands-On Healing For Animals With Jean Foley
Jean practices Reiki healing on animals and has over 20 years
experience of working with animals including veterinary nursing and
groom with horses.
What Animals Can Feel During Healing?
Illness can be understood as an imbalance in an animal's life force
energy. These imbalances can have different causes e.g. emotional,
mental, physical and spiritual. The aim of hands-on healing is to
encourage the body into regulating itself and to smooth out all of
these emotional, mental, physical and spiritual disturbances.
Because healing works to bring about balance in each animal's
energy field, it is able to reach the cause as well as the physical
symptoms of any particular problem.
What Happens During A Healing Treatment?
The healer channels energy through their
hands into the receivers body - triggering, enhancing and promoting the
body's natural ability to heal itself.
What Animals Can Feel During Healing?
Animals can physically feel what we do -
perhaps even more as their senses are more acute than ours. Initially
they can feel heat or tingling from the healer's hands. On occasions an
animal may be momentarily wary of these sensations, but in my
experience they soon settle down to enjoy it. Most animals will go into
a state of deep relaxation, sleepiness or extreme tiredness.
